I have been working with children for about 15 years in various settings (summer camps, music lessons, tutoring, babysitting, etc). I have been a lead teacher for 6 years in private and public Montessori schools and am currently completing my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. A bit about me as a person: I have a lot of energy and love outdoor activities--running, hiking, skiing, biking, swimming, yoga. I am interested in nutrition, I love music (I play a few instruments and really enjoy live music). I love spending time with friends and family. When I teach in the classroom setting, I cater my lessons to each child's needs and interests and would do the same in a nannying position. Working with children takes a lot of patience, compassion, listening and problem solving--all of which I've practiced for many years. Due to my husband's new job at Burton, we are relocating to Burlington, so my schedule can be very flexible. I am happy to work with very young infants up through middle school. I can help with homework, drive to after school activities, etc. I look forward to hearing about the opportunity to work with your family! #38813 Reply Creative and experienced nanny available ~ Putney, Vermont Nanny Seeking ~ Hello Parents! My name is Julia and I have been in childcare for 12 years working with children ages birth- 5. My childcare career consists of classroom work as well as working in private homes. A bit about me: I am a spunky and nurturing individual. I love to dance, be creative, laugh, bake cookies, be imaginative... just to name a few. I am a non-smoker. I am bilingual... fluent in two languages. I am open to live-in if farther from my hometown or live-out if closer. I hope to hear from you. Cheers! #36481 Reply Experienced Nanny - Masters in Education ~ Burlington, Vermont Nanny Seeking ~ Hello, My name is Marissa. I am writing to give you a little background about myself, and why I would like to be a nanny. It is probably best to start with the fact that I really enjoy working with children of all ages, and children enjoy spending time with me. This fall I will be attending the University of Vermont as a continuing education student working towards my Masters in Education. I will be taking two evening classes per semester. This will be a career change for me as for the last eight years I have been working in the field of youth marketing. Currently, I am an Account Supervisor at Burlington marketing agency. My past child care experience spans over fifteen years and includes working as nanny of a two year old boy, a camp counselor and a babysitter. I am organized, but flexible and I think this is one of the main reasons I work well with children. If you asked my friends to describe me in four words they would say that I am energetic, funny, a good listener and loving. In my spare time I like to read and enjoy snowboarding, swimming, skiing and hiking. A quick life history is as follows; I was born in Boston and raised outside of Hartford, CT. My parents both work in the medical profession and I have one younger brother. I attended Miss Porters School and then University of Vermont where I spent my junior year abroad in London (where I worked as a nanny). After graduating from college I moved to Vail, CO to ski for the winter, then to Boston for a two years where I began my career as a marketer, next to the greater New York City for three years and finally settled in 2006 back in Burlington. #36238 Reply Page: 1
