I am a believer in the punishment should fit the decision. For example if a child does not listen they would lose a priviledge that fit whatever they refused to do. I believe in warnings and following through with all that I warn. Time-outs are good when the behavior is changed not just a time-out for a specific amount of time. I fully believe in giving children choices, therefore if they chose to do something that they know is wrong they are to acknowledge that choice and take responsibility for it.
