Nanny Seeking ~ Dear Families, I understand that finding the right nanny to care for you're children is difficult and time consuming- I hope to set your minds at ease. I'm a 28 year old Scottish female who has been working in the U.S for the past 7 years as an aupair. I'm seeking a full time (will consider p.t) position in Va Beach. I have 6 years of nanny experience and I can supply references that will attest not only to my experience, but to my hard work as well. I'm available for long or short term positions as well as odd babysitting days/nights. I have experience with children aged 4 months to 12 years old. When caring for children I enjoy taking them on outings to the park, beach and book store etc, I also like to read, do crafts and play. I would encourage your child(ren) to play outside, I would not encourage/or allow your child to watch t.v all day long and play computer games all day- that's not healthy for anyone, child or adult! I feel it is my role as the aupair to educate your child(ren) in a safe and loving environment. I have been told that I'm firm but, fair. I'm the kind of nanny who will go the extra mile, I'll fold the laundry without being asked to do so (if I have time), I'll vacuum or feed the dog without it being in my required daily duties. I don't have to be asked to do everything, I work well on my own initiative. I'm flexible regarding hours and pay. I'm willing to care for pets since I'm a HUGE animal lover, as long as the pet is not a six foot snake or a spider! I can do laundry and light house keeping duties. Nanny Seeking ~ I have been an assistant/aide on a special needs school bus for the city of Chesapeake for the past 5 years. The children's ages vary between 2 years old to 22 years old. I am on there minimum of 5 hours a day, but can be up to 10 hours a day because of pre-school and field trips. The children on the bus have disabilities ranging from down syndrome, cerebral palsy, chromosome 13 disorder, autism, add/adhd, behavior problems, medical problems, developmental delays, and so forth. I love special needs children. They have a dear place in my heart and are a big part of my life. They make me smile and laugh daily and always are entertaining. They all have a personality of their own. Our kids LOVE riding the bus with us. We play music, give them treats (food, candy, etc.) and always celebrate holidays/birthdays. They run to the bus in the morning and sometimes don't even want to get off in the afternoon! The only respite care that I did do was with a little girl. She was 7 years old at the time and she had cerebral palsy and was wheel chair bound and used a walker some, but rarely. I am very outgoing and friendly. I love to meet new people. I am very talkative, funny and a could communicator. I love to laugh and smile. I'm reliable and dependable. I would love to have a strict work schedule, but I'm so used to working two jobs since the day I was 15 years old that I'm very used to having to be at a different place at a different time, all the time.
