She's a native English speaker (from Trinidad - legal), a good cook (she cooked for the whole family), did everyone's laundry, and served as an overall household manager, while still being loving, patient, and creative with the children. She spent plenty of time with them in the parks, at playgrounds, and the nature center. She knows the area well. She is completely trustworthy; we gave her a credit card in her name and she did our grocery shopping, bought clothes and educational materials for the boys as appropriate, and signed them up for after school activities (after consulting us, of course). She has been babysitting for many years and has maturity and experience (but, in her early 40s, is still young enough and energetic enough to keep up with small kids).
