I'm 31 and live in Coeur d'Alene, ID (originally from Spokane, WA). I am looking for a great family with terrific kids I can teach things and learn from. I babysat for about 10 years, beginning at age 12. The last nine or ten I've been working in the Office world and am ready to get back to basics. I don't have kids of my own and I miss the fun I used to have. I love music, play the piano and sing; I would love to share my talent with your kids! I think it's important to actually sit on the floor and interact with children, when they're young enough to absorb some of the more positive things you can impart on them. When they're older, there's so much I can teach them and probably more they can teach me! I love sports - hockey, baseball, football (I even love Monday Night Football) and would love to throw the ball around. I admire the innocence and fascination, their young eyes have, with the world around them. You definitely stop and think when you're looking at things, just as your child does. I have references and would love to get started! Please contact me with any questions. #38084 Reply Child care and adult care available ~ Moscow, Idaho Nanny Seeking ~ Hi I'm Phoebe. Not every one is suited for each family, which makes this an exciting experience filled with great anticipation. I have spent my life loving, and caring for children in different capacities; as a mother & grandmother, professional work, and church callings. My own 6 children (5 boys, 1 girl) and now 14 grandchildren are my greatest pride and blessing. Over 25 years I owned and operated a successful day care. After I closed my business, I worked as a Program Assistant with children (infants to 5 years old), at the Child Development Center on the Marine Corps Air Station as an effective team participant, and completed all training requirements and classes associated in early childhood development. Recently I was requested for my Nanny assistance for temporary employment, watching 4 small children (ages 1 to 7). I come with lots of love, patience and experience. I truly believe that each child has his/her own unique character, flaws, talents and gifts. It is up to us to gather up that information and help build a happy, confident, caring and productive individual by positive guidance and encouragement. Life is a learning process for all of us as we learn and grow from each other. If you are looking for a permanent, dependable, positive and mature person to love your child(ren) then please notify me and I would be thrilled to answer all of your questions. I have wonderful references and look forward to meeting you and your family. My preferences would be Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls or Boise areas. #37800 Reply Nanny seeking long term placement with a loving family ~ Boise, Idaho Nanny Seeking ~ I have always been into children and children have always loved me! I started baby-sitting when I was 12. I had four families on a regular basis that would bring their children to my moms. We had a large basement, and I turned it into "my day care." Legally, I was not of age to baby-sit, but I had matured enough to where I was capable to tend to children for a few hours at a time. My mom was also home to help, if needed. My mom and I put together a resume from 1996, when I was 12 years old. It has eight references/families I tended for. At 12 years old, I was already making my own career out of baby-sitting! I loved baby-sitting and making money, and I continued to baby-sit through my high school years. I started putting my money back into my business and purchased anything and everything I could afford for the kids to use/play with or enjoy. My mom had a love for children, and it must have been passed on to me.I went away to college and focused on my degree. I did not baby-sit much except on holidays and some occasions when I would come home primarily to baby-sit for families. My last year of college, during my finals week, I found out my mom had been diagnosed with stage-three ovarian cancer. She was not given much time to live. I graduated college with a degree in wood construction and design/architecture. I knew it was time for me to come home and tend for my mother. My time spent with my mom gave me an insight as to why I enjoyed being a caregiver. I benefit from its rewards. Time spent with my mom or any other family is not replaceable and always consists of joyous and memorable times. I look back at all services I provided for my mom and every other family I have tended for, and I wouldn't change anything. I am very proud of myself, as well as the children and families I work with and the outcomes we have achieved together. I was my mom's main and only caregiver. At the age of 25, I moved back home and took on responsibilities I never thought I would be capable of. I was responsible for giving her shots, food (a feeding tube), as well as transportation to many doctors visits when she was well enough to leave the house. When I first agreed to do this, I said that I would do anything and everything EXCEPT for give her shots, as I hated needles, and empty her g-tube/colostomy bag. When time came, I performed these two things without hesitating or thinking twice. It was what had to be done. I took care of my mom until she passed away. I didn't have any other help other than emotional support from my mom's friends. My friends were not able to comprehend what I was going through or my situation. As I cared for my mom, we had many conversations as to why I should go into a professional care giving position. My mom and many others tell me, "It just comes naturally to you." Care giving comes naturally to me and something that I excel in and would like to make a career out of. I have a lot to offer to a family. I am experienced. I feel wonderful about my relationships with each of my clients. I have never just baby-sat once. I am always asked back and referred by many. I leave a household knowing I made a positive mark and that I was able to bring something to each family. Children love me, and they become attached and I am easily attached to them. I have tended for all ages, from newborn to teens, and then my mom. I communicate well with children, and I am able to form a unique bond with a child. I will offer a family my time, experience, thoughts, knowledge, and personality to the family as a whole. They will be able to trust me. I will follow through with their decisions/rules, as well as do my best to find what each child as an individuals needs are. And most of all, I will provide a family with a trustworthy reputation to where the parents will leave for the day and not have to think twice about the person tending to their children. I am a people pleaser and love to help others. I love to know that I am a part of something good, that I am a part of a positive and caring family, and that I helped them out for the better. #37548 Reply Seeking Live-in Nanny position, Love Children ~ Hansen, Idaho Nanny Seeking ~ Hello! Sincerely, Tina #36811 Reply Experienced nanny, 26 yr old, single female ~ Caldwell, Idaho Nanny Seeking ~ My name is Caitlin. I have just returned home from Connecticut where I worked as a nanny for 2 years. I have been babysitting since the age of ten when I started watching the little boy next door. I continued to baby-sit until I left for college. I watched children ranging in age anywhere from newborn to 14 years old, and anywhere from 1 to 13 children at a time. I still keep in touch with quite a few of the families I babysat for, and still get asked by the children when I am going to come watch them again, despite the fact that theyre all old enough to watch themselves. After graduating I worked for the summer as a summer school teacher for mentally and physically handicapped children. In July 2002 I moved out to Trumbull, Connecticut to be a nanny for a family with three girls. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: household cleaning and errands, child care, pet care, cooking, laundry and any thing else the parents needed me to do. I loved working as a nanny! I really enjoyed the area and the people there as well. During the past few years I have worked for a few families around home as a part time nanny. I have also watched my nephews frequently since the oldest was a couple months old in 2001. For the past two years I have worked as a full-time live-in nanny for a family in Connecticut. There are two children ages 7 and almost 5. I have loved working here and can't wait for the next adventure. With all of this experience I obviously have quite a few really good references. One of my favorite kind of people are children, they're open and honest and fun to play with. Being a nanny will also be a way for me to gain experience since the one thing I want to be most when I get older is a mother. I think that one of my strengths is that I try to use joy and love as my tools. I show children how much I enjoy their company and how much I want them to be happy. I hope to bring a happy spirit to the home and hopefully help with the children as the parents would want me to. #36646 Reply Page: 1
